Google's Nexus One may give Apple's iPhone a run for its money

If the visitor's and analysts' reactions at the Consumer Electronic Show at Las Vegas are anything to go by, Google Nexus One is going to be the next big thing! Seriously, the Android based smart phone will incorporate all the power packed features that you expect from a smart phone. It is being pitched in direct competition with Apple's iPhone and this is giving real nightmares to the proponents of the iPhone whose dedication to it comes very close to being termed as jingoism!! Yeah...the iPhone creed has to mandatorily show off to the world that an iPhone is being used to send the email or set the status message on facebook. They stick to it like glue, even when surrounded by friends and family.

Nexus One will challenge all this. And this is why the iPhone owners are insecure because if the Google's power packed phone becomes "The" trend...it will lead to destabilization of the status of iPhone, which is more or less used only for the purpose of flaunting it as a status symbol. The work-oriented, executive class prefers to buy Blackberry as it more works less gloss.

Google’s Nexus One may change all of that but one feature of iPhone may prove to be the greatest artillery against Nexus, which is the Apps application store which has virtually thousands of interesting and useful applications which the iPhone owners have an easy access to. Though Android is an open source software and thus open for innovation and application development, the fact that there still aren’t much applications that have been designed for it despite it being introduced more than a year back, is to be a given a serious thought by the manufacturers.

The looks and external features of Nexus are impressive indeed. In comparison to the iPhone, Nexus One has clearer screen and better camera but sadly still, no Bluetooth services are provided for the consumers.

Kids run an early risk of getting tumor

The government regulation bans the kids below sixteen years of age to carry a mobile phone. But, "who cares?” seems to be norm in U.K. with almost 50% children within the age group five to nine years boasting a mobile phone. The parent often gives in to the demands of their children, some on the grounds of security and others just do it. What they don’t realize is that they are exposing their little ones to the early bouts of tumors, which exposure to mobile radiation will bring to them. I mean the legacy can’t get richer!

The kids on the other hand are freely boasting of their gadgets and are busy downloading songs, videos and other applications from the internet, if their cell phone has the capability to connect to it. This also increases the risk of their coming across porno or illegitimate content online. And more than half the time, the parents aren’t available to monitor the mobile activities of their scions. They only become aware of it when the tragedy strikes or the mammoth bill knocks at their doorstep that ends up burning a hole in their pocket.

BT is one of the leading broadband service provider in UK who also offers BT business broadband which includes fiber optic cable connection for small business with up to 40 Mb speed and Wi-fi connection.

To avoid such things, what parents can do is that they shouldn’t buy their children, a mobile phone if they are below sixteen years of age. And if it is really really urgent, than a modest phone will do that helps you to know the whereabouts of the kid. The kids don’t need the high tech phones, which have taken over the market today.

Another thing they should do is that tell their children about the applications they download and their charges as often kids are ignorant of them. Last year, the phone bills of only kids amounted to a total of £374MILLION!!

Another must do is to register the phone with the network provider as being used by a kid. This will make sure that your child doesn’t have access to inappropriate websites.
